Information about the rehabilitation program

Every TCP student must devote enough time not only to the study itself, but also to preventive medical measures in order to prevent accidents, injuries and pains of the musculoskeletal system.

To this end, TCP offers the following options to each student:

Individual physiotherapy (duration 30-45 min - by arrangement)

Massages (classic massage, relaxation, sports, reflexology, flask massage)

it is ideal to warm up under solux for 5-15 minutes before the massage

Swimming pool - aquapark Barrandov (60 minutes - see special rehabilitation plan)

Gym (frequency and exact program according to the disposition of the physiotherapist)

Hydrojet - dry massage bath - 2 frequencies x 12 minutes + rest in bed

Foot spa (2 x 10 minutes)

Sauna (min. number of 2, frequency according to FZT dispositions)

Magnetotherapy (frequency and number according to condition and agreement with FZT)

pain relief, anti-inflammatory effect, accelerates healing

Solux (for pain and muscle fatigue, suitable before and after training)

warm-up, blood circulation to the muscles, support of immunity, acceleration of healing

Biostimulation lamp (frequency and number according to condition and agreement with FZT)

analgesic, anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect

Each member of Ballet Praha Junior and Ballet Praha Junior 2 is obliged to complete a rehabilitation program at least twice a week:

- physiotherapy or massage

- swimming pool (swimming and relaxing exercises in water) or sauna

Other students are required to complete this rehabilitation program once a week.

Please note that rehabilitation programs are still not included in the "framework educational program" of dance conservatories - despite repeated requests to the Ministry of Education and Culture! The costs of these procedures must therefore be covered by the school from its own income + students contribute to them in the form of a flat annual contribution.

INDIVIDUAL PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It targets specific problems or disorders (flat feet, joint and spine pain, hypermobility, poor posture, scoliosis, etc.) and their effects. It is usually necessary for the ideal course of therapy

3-8 visits at regular intervals, and above all regular home self-therapy recommended by a physiotherapist. The goal is to alleviate current difficulties and prevent their return and development.

Individual physiotherapy takes place on the basis of the recommendations of dance teachers, after an injury or illness, or on the basis of a new kinesiological analysis. In individual therapies, we use soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization, individual exercises (analytical exercises used to increase range of motion, muscle strength, breathing exercises, etc.)

and exercises based on neurophysiology (DNS, ACT, PNF, sensorimotor stimulation). For the maximum effect of therapy, we use a variety of methods and tools - taping with solid or kinesiological tape, biostimulation lamp, magnetotherapy, massage balls, flasks, acupressure pads, fascial knives, strengthening rubbers, massage guns (which students can borrow at any time), balance platforms and, if necessary, weight machines, which are available in the school gym.

MASSAGE

Generally speaking, the main goal of massage is to achieve positive physical and psychological effects.

Specifically, it is about releasing muscle tension, relaxing and reducing stress, improving mood, improving blood flow, improving flexibility, reducing pain and promoting injury healing.

We perform massages using palms, fingers, elbows, or using special tools

– massage rollers, balls, guns, flasks. The selection of massage tools and techniques is based on individual requirements and needs, and we can offer relaxation and regeneration, sports, lymphatic or functional massage, in which we focus on a specific area of the problem

and we can thus support the physiotherapist's therapy and the overall regeneration process.

Before each massage, we recommend warming up the body area for 10-15 minutes under the solux, which is located directly in front of the massage room and is available throughout the day.

HYDRO JET - MECHANICAL HYDROMASSAGE

It is a so-called dry massage bath, which has a rubber membrane on the surface, through which the pressure of the water massage jets is transmitted to the back and legs of the massaged person. During the massage, there is no direct contact of the body with the water. The patient, dressed in light clothing, carefully lies on his back on the rubber membrane of the massage bath (it is important to remove all sharp objects from his pockets) and lets the jets massage the whole body. The range of the massaged area, time and intensity of the massage can be controlled using the manual controller. The recommended procedure time is 15-30 minutes. We recommend using HydroJet after training to support regeneration. The optimal frequency is 2-3 times a week, with high load and in combination with massage and individual physiotherapy

SOLUX

Solux is a lamp with an artificial source of infrared radiation that penetrates well into tissues and has the ability to reach deeper layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. Infrared radiation and the action of heat relieves chronic pain syndromes of the musculoskeletal system, reduces muscle tension by blood circulation and thus speeds up their regeneration. We recommend using an infrared lamp 2-3 times a week before training to warm up the muscles, or after training as part of regeneration. At the same time, it is advisable to use solux for 10-15 minutes before each massage to maximize its effect.

SWIMMING POOL

The students and I go to the aqua park in Barrandová every week - https://www.aquadream.cz/ - students spend about half of their time improving their physical condition by swimming (approx. 15 pools) and in the second part they can relax in the jacuzzis, on the massage grates, etc. Entrance and transportation to the pool is paid for by the school.

GYM

The school has a gym with a lot of exercise machines, exercise mats, one-handed dumbbells, ladders, yoga blocks, etc. The goal of visiting the gym is for students to compensate for demanding dance training and increase muscle strength, and for boys, a desirable increase in muscle mass.
